Senior Product Designer

XXIX (garden3d) is a worker-owned creative collective hiring contract-based senior product designers to lead complex product design projects. The role involves working on diverse client projects spanning e-commerce, connected hardware, and AI-enabled interfaces for clients including Google, Stripe, Figma, Hinge, Mozilla, MIT, and others. Responsibilities: - Lead the design process from discovery through implementation - Collaborate directly with clients to understand business goals and user needs - Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs - Maintain focus on UX, visual consistency, and design systems - Participate in design critiques and provide constructive feedback - Manage design workstreams, collaborate with developers, and meet project milestones - Present design solutions to clients and iterate based on feedback Required Experience: - Expertise in user experience, interface design, and product strategy - Portfolio demonstrating complex product design projects - Ability to lead cross-functional collaboration - Strong design fundamentals and attention to quality Compensation: $85-$150/hour depending on client and seniority level. Projects typically last minimum 6 full-time weeks, with preference for long-term engagements.
